I find interesting to share with you the experiences I had and will have during my field trips. First, I will talk a little bit about me. As you guessed I am a Geology Major in my beautiful country, Ecuador. My name is Ma. Emilia; I am from the capital, Quito, where I live with my parents. But since I’m studying, I am always on campus. I am more than 20 y.o and I love to travel. Soon I will start my 6th semester and since my 5th I didn’t stop having wonderful moments with my colleagues and professors. Thanks to this amazing science, I have traveled to approximately 24 cities – this lovely country doesn’t stop surprising me.
I think is also important to know about Geology here because now, it is my science and I am happy to share my knowledge. In my 5th semester, I had 4 subjects: Introduction to field methods, Volcanology, Geomorphology and Mineralogy and Crystallography. These subjects were amazing, different and similar at the same time, they are all connected – It is incredible!
In this picture, I am in Cayambe’s Snowy for my Geomorphology course. We were looking at the U-shaped Valleys and the glaciers. My colleagues and I walked for ~ 1h30 till arriving at the refuge. It was amazing!
PD: Any doubt or suggestion, write in the comments. I am open to receive feedback! Hope you like it!
